To equip others to be overcomers through the power of God's Word.
We have a choice to proclaim God's goodness even in the midst of the battle and when the circumstances around us are trying to dictate otherwise. Tiffany will share with you her own journey of reliance and trust in Jesus during a shark attack that took most of her right arm. She will help teach you through her experience and God's Word who you are in Christ and the power we have in Him so we can all be overcomers.
Born and raised in Michigan, Tiffany was active in her church starting at a young age. Her heart has always been in praise & worship, but has been a part of various ministries.
Upon moving and starting her career, Tiffany met her husband JJ and they eventually led a college ministry for 4 years through New Life Church in Huntington, WV. It was there God cultivated in them a desire to teach others about who they are in Christ.
Moving to the Charlotte area with their 3 children, both Tiffany and JJ have been involved at The Refuge church leading small groups and volunteering in various capacities.
On June 2, 2017, their lives were turned upside down when Tiffany suffered a shark attack while they were on vacation in the Bahamas. But what the devil meant to kill, steal, and destroy, God has taken and shown His glory, miracles, hope, peace, and love. It birthed a testimony that has been shared across the nation and world of the power of God and what it means to be an overcomer through Christ.
"The ability to focus on God through personal tragedy reveals Tiffany's trust and dependence on God! Her story is a testament to God's strength in her life. She exudes the joy of the Lord and will leave your congregation encouraged and edified in Jesus Christ. I would highly recommend her to fill any pulpit!"
- Dr. Darren Powell, Senior Pastor of Maranatha Fellowship, St. Albans, WV
"True courage and character are revealed not in the comforts of predictability, but in the adversity of the unexpected. A shark may have taken Tiffany Johnson's arm, but it could not rob her of her faith, her joy, or her passion for the Lord. I've had the great joy as her Pastor of watching Tiffany constantly declare His goodness both publicly and privately. Her response to the Lord coupled with her ability to communicate her story are both inspiring and contagious!"
- Jay Stewart, Founding/Lead Pastor of The Refuge Church, Kannapolis, NC
Her testimony was not just a story of what had happened, but an ongoing account of what is still happening in her life. Our people were encouraged and we had an encounter with God through her ministry. I enthusiastically endorse her ministry and I am so thankful for her friendship and partnership in the Gospel."
- Dennis Boyce, Senior Pastor of First Assembly, Gastonia, NC
